this is my first post. I had several one click hosters in the past.
I'm in this business since 2005. I will not go into more detail. So don't ask.
I will give yetishare a try now for a non greyzone project
but I think I can help you to find the perfect host.
From what I can tell you there are just a few datacenters/companies that allow file sharing/OCH's etc..
This is from my personal experience with high bandwith/performance/dmca etc.
First of all get a safe harbor for your host like a .to domain! Only in the Netherlands or Romania it is allowed to run such a critical service these days. Do not use USA or German servers even if the offer is very good!
Before you start such a service think about the costs. If you offer bad service/performance users will not use your service.
With big sites we had around $20k/month on server costs for space & BW with 10GB ports etc.
Ok let's start:
1. Leaseweb.com (Netherlands) - 65k servers worldwide (Earlier main provider for uploaded.net) - porn / music allowed (not the cheapest for gb ports)
2. OVH.com (France) - (Host of Zippyshare.com) file sharing allowed on dedicated servers. maybe also on VPS dont know. Good prices for big storage servers. good port speeds. if you want a custom server you must pay for the hardware like HDD's in advance! Could be very expensive.
3. Voxility.com (Romania) - (Streamcloud.eu is hosting piracy there, and a lot of illegal music sites I know). gb ports unmetered but not during european evening hours. 6pm -1 am max 300mb/s
4. nforce.com (Netherlands) - Small private company with their own servers but without own DC. (IGNORE DMCA) They hosted some file sharing projects before. But Maybe they have changed their company policy. Just ask them.
5. webzilla.com (Netherlands/Russian Company) (Google for "webazilla" ) - Only if you want to host sick illegal porn or other bad stuff, protect your privacy but will charge massive $$$ for it. Own DC in Amsterdam. They would also host file sharing sites/file hosters but it would be too expensive I think because a small server starts at $600.
Forget all the others like webtropia, godaddy, hostgator etc.
At the end they will pull the plug and delete the files or whatever report you to the police or so if they don't like what you do or if you scam them.
If you care about the dmca those companies will work with you.
The only company that ignores the DMCA totally from what I know is Voxility in Romania.
You should think about "NOT ignoring" DMCA because the FBI will sooner or later close your service or takes your website.
I mean you can also react within 14 days. Most of you know what I mean. If you get 10k emails a day with complaints you just have less employes to delete the files...
