In my experience rsync is by far the quickest and most reliable method for moving servers. I would recommend trying that again to move the files. The script function for file moves uses http and should in theory be slower. There's also a chance of drop outs with http. Rsync will reliably move them.

Hi, The difference is normally within these 3 folders: /files/_tmp /files/_deleted /files/_backup _deleted you can manually clear the contents and it wont impact anything. _backup items you can clear if you no longer need them. _tmp I would clear anything older than 1 hour. If that still...

Also note that if you upload a file which has been uploaded previously, it'll link to that file rather than add new. So make sure you test with a completely new file.

One other thing to check.. in the admin area, site settings, is the file server selection method set to specific server?
