    It depends on the avg file size, on how many downloads you have daily and many other things. You need to test to find the best value for you. And 4gb ram is really low. My servers have 16gb each.

    Those processes in the process manager are apache child processes serving requests. The process manager won't give you much information regarding this. Check the apache status to see which requests they are serving.

    There are some minor bugs on 4.2 that allow users to upload more than their quota. I don't know if they are fixed on 4.3. Note that if a premium user have inactive files, those files will be removed in the next cron job after the downgrade to free account.
