Zip up files on the server

have them be able to select files and zip it up right there
cause people are uploading tons of pictures
and then linking the pictures to a friend

and the friend is expected to download 1 picture at a time.. 1000's of pictures

How to solve?

Maybe the uploader can select all the pictures, ctrl click, right click, add zip, type in a zip file name

then link them to the zip file instead

sure, it would be smarter if the uploader had originally just uploaded a .zip themselves

but you'd be surprised at how 75% of people dont do this

They upload tons of images then they think that the receiver is going to be able to download them all with ease

This would be hell on your server(s). Especially zipping up mid to large files and/or multiple people doing it at once.

A download full gallery option would be better, assuming they upload as a gallery.
