User not upgraded

My English is not very good but i will try tell what happened on my site:

- user registered with hotmail email,
- later he purchased 30 day subsciption but his paypal email was gmail one,
- and script not upgraded him automaticaly to premium status

Whats wrong please? Is this a bug or something else?
