Server load

I had a warning from the server last night about "Excessive resource usage".

I ran TOP over ssh this morning and went to download a file this was the capture I got from the ssh client.



Anyone have any idea why it would cause the load to go up so much?

What size is the download?
Are there any mods to the file_download.php file? (I have to check )
Is the load any different for free vs paid accounts? (re the download speed restriction for free users)

It was a 600mb .avi file, but the same happens on a 50mb file
No modifications to the file_download.php file
It happened with a free account initially, and when I tested it, it did exactly the same with the admin account.

When downloading with the admin account it used to be instant download, but for some reason its waiting up to 10 seconds before starting the download.

I'll upload a new file_download.php and do some digging on the server to see i I can find out whats wrong,

i can agree... i have now a virtual server. Was has 2 Cores with 2GB Ram and 2GHZ CPU. In the Maintime ist the server very slow.. and if a i see on top se mutch runnings proccess and apache and the mysql database.

But, maybe.. i have now buy a new server its here in the front from me and will work from tomorrow in the warehouse.

I preffix ngix as webserver...
