Sending Emails Error

Hi there my users are having problems signing up to the website they can sign up fine but when it gets to receiving a email for there account details they don't receive one. I have contacted my host over this and they say that they cant sort IT so i am looking here for some help this is a email i receive after a user signs up i get in the smtp email

Hi,

You can check the ip on a site like this:

http://whatismyipaddress.com/blacklist-check

Clicking on the error should tell you how you can remove it from the blacklist, although I've no idea how long it would take. It might be quicker to ask for a different IP for sending mail from your host.

The ip 204.45.55.28 is on the blocked list.

Sorry I don't understand your question?

Either way it's not a script issue so you'll need to contact your host to resolve it.

I wasn't saying it was a script issue i was saying i was just wondering where does it say it is blacklisted because i cant see it anywhere never can my host

As you can read in the reply email:

Are you running the script on your own server? If so, you will need to create a SPF record, and make sure that your reverse DNS is set correct!
You WILL also need to contact Hotmail and ask them to add your domain to the Sender ID.

If you search for the IP 204.45.55.28 on http://whatismyipaddress.com/blacklist-check it shows it as blacklisted. You can also see it on http://www.blacklistmaster.com.

Your host should know how to use these tools... :)

Hi i have changed my ip but still receive the error message i don't know if its just me checking from the by registering with my emails or it happening to other users

How long ago did you change the IP, it might still be propagating if less than 24 hours. What did your host say?

I have changed my ip about a week ago now so it should be fine and i don't know what my host has said because he hasn't replied yet

Once you get the NEW IP propagated and under operation, make an SPF record in your DNS settings/provider. That way, other servers can't impersonate you :)
