remote file server

i put my site on cpanel hosting

i try to add remote file server , but i dont understand something

should i install the script again from 0 on the remote server (serv1.name.com) or just put files ??

and what required to connect both ?

You can do it either as just file storage, or as an actual server where people can download from.

If you want it to be just a storage server, you can do it via FTP in the settings.

- Checking connectivity to the site database from the file server... Problem connecting to the main script database from your file server. Ensure the settings in /_config.inc.php are correct and that your MySQL user has privileges to connect remotely.!

Your script on the remote server needs to connect to the database on the main server. you might need to allow access for the remote server on the main server. there should be something in cPanel that does this.
