Move files from storage to FTP or another (tools)

Dear Mrs,

You can create a script to move files from one storage unit to another? For example, I select the current disc, select the destination disk and the script (php or shell can be executed by the console) moves all files, then updates the database for new downloads are made by the new disc, checking if everything was done properly (by the size of the destination and source files) and then delete the files from the source disk.

This can be a "Plugin", there is this possibility?

that would be complicated and will require a lot of bandwidth. it's like transferring an entire disk to another.

Exactly. Download an entire disk, file by file and being at the end of each file it is already checked, the database updated and deleted from the source disk. It helps a lot when it comes to storage CLOUD (using servers in multiple locations).

Furthermore, it can be done step by running only at night.

Does anyone have any idea of time to develop this tool? I think the ideal would be a PLUGIN transfer.
