Let Google Crawl PDF files

Hi,

If I were to upload pdf files, is there a way to let google crawl the pdfs? Was thinking I could upload a bunch of pdfs and get long-tail keyword traffic if people search for specific phrases which are in the pdfs.

In a way you're turning your website into a page like docstoc.com but without the preview functionality.

any feedback? all we would do is let google crawl all pdf files, so that files can be ranked in google based on their text.

And what if someone uploads a pdf containing sensitive information or information they do not want on google?

IMHO this is a bad idea and raises concerns about privacy and should not be added into the core script.

Whoever uploads sensitive information to the internet without protecting it...well I can't help them.
Your RSS feed doesn't include password protected files. This could be done similarly - only crawl unprotect PDF files.
If you make a plugin, I'll gladly buy it!
