Error Message: Failed connecting to the database *SOLVED*

Hello all,

Just set up a new dedicated server, began my installation of Yetishare using the installation Wizard. Entered the database connection details and default admin login. Checked connection, which provided the all good. Proceeded with the setup and now I'm getting the following message after a fresh install, regardless of the connection details being correct. I've checked numerous times.

Database Error:
Failed connecting to the database with the supplied connection details. Please check the details are correct and your MySQL user has permissions to access this database.

Any help at all would be much appreciated.

Post the fix to help others searching. Don't just say solved.

Fix: use the correct mysql password/username you created the database user with and assigned to the script database.

Fix: use the correct mysql password/username you created the database user with and assigned to the script database.

Actually, the DB did not like the naming convention provided. A rule I had completely forgotten about.
FIX: Create a new database using an alternative name and assign it to the same user and password
