Coverter not working

Can anyone help with this issue I have after uploading a video and after the converter has run I get an error saying there is no file in the _cache folder. :?:

Can you first login to the script admin, go to manage plugins, select 'settings' on the media converter. Then ensure 'output cron messages' is set to yes.

Then upload another media file, such as an avi and manually trigger the convert.php file via SSH again.

This should output a load of onscreen feedback as well as the ffmpeg response.

Unrecognized option 'b:v'

Your ffmpeg version is too old. You'll need version 0.7 or greater, 0.8 if possible.

For info, our dev version information is:

ffmpeg version 0.8.6

If you have a look at the top of convert.php in the code, it will show you how to run the ffmpeg installer. It takes a while to run but it normally gets the correct version installed along with a load of codecs.

Ok it worked on one video, I upload 6 one flv and 5 mp4, after a day and half its still running the first convertion now thats not right and it will not stop. I'm now doing a reboot of the server and deleting the videos. :|

No not happy it killed my site and my server, the website now looks like it has no tempates just text and the converter is still running converting what I don't, no I removed and deleted all files and temp files to. So it should all be clean also I
have this Fatal error: Class 'Auth' not found in /home/syberhiv/public_html/admin/_header.inc.php on line 10

Look like I'll have to do a full reinstall as this upgrade don't work or there is some other issue I haven't found. As this is now moving into another issue you may what to move this post elsewhere under a heading of script error

Are all the files still in includes? It sounds like some of the files have been removed.

The pending conversion is only the database showing it's pending, so it's likely it failed somehow and didn't update the database to failed. If you look in your database at 'plugin_mediaconverter_queue' table, you should see the queue. Have a look in the notes column for any clues as to why the other one didn't finish. Deleting (or changing the status to failed) will allow the others to run.

I've clear out this table, re-upload the file that failed and manually trigger it via the command line to check for any issues. Ensure 'output cron messages' via the plugin settings it set to yes.

Right reinstalled files, looking over everything I did after setting up the website, the domain owner on my server I'd reset it to root I've put it back as self owned. that fixed my server issue with connection with putty. So once again I can input the command for the converter, That works as it should and is running now
Next I need to test if the converter can work on it own on the cron job and there are no database connection issues and I'm all set, I will update you on that last step.

Oh and if anyone is asking I didn't delete or remove anything from the includes fold
