It actually sounds like the server you are using is not the best. This may not be good if you have a client uplaoding a file and another person trying to get to the site. May want to upgrade your server

The backend template can easily be coded into the admin panel. If you want I can do this for a charge. Although I'm not sure why you would be wanting to do this as it is already decently designed (the backend) and your the only person who really sees it.
