SMTP ERROR: Failed to connect to server

Hi there i am looking for some help with an error message my users have been getting when trying to sign up to this site it comes up with this error message after the a user presses submit. SMTP -> ERROR: Failed to connect to server: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known (0)
The following From address failed: [email protected] What have i done wrong here because loads of people are saying it is up to my host but they say the opposite. I am wondering if anybody can help me because i cant seem to see whats wrong. I think i mite of made a mistake could you help me please here are some pics to show you what i have filled out in my admin area settings.

Can you send email using a normal email client, with the same details.

PS - I'd probably remove the image as it shows the mail password.

is it possible that the mailserver are wrong?

i think the mailservers name is everytime mail.xxx.xxx

try

mail.zipitshare.com

i have never see some other mail server.

mayby is this your problem.
and the error says cant connect to server.

You might want to also run the smtp server via these sites, it seems to produce an error on each:

I have changed the mail server name to mail.zipitshare.com where it askes for Your SMTP host if you've selected SMTP email method what it asked me to and now it comes up with this error
SMTP -> ERROR: Password not accepted from server: 535 Incorrect authentication data
SMTP -> ERROR: RCPT not accepted from server: 550-Please turn on SMTP Authentication in your mail client. 550-server.zipitshare.com (zipitshare.com) [204.45.55.28]:55024 is not 550 permitted to relay through this server without authentication.Can this be fixed

Now i have got rid of that error it is not sending out any confirmations emails

have you tried to check your server?

post the error message after testing.
