Is there way to define the minimum number of characters for short url creation?

example for 5 min characters:

http://site.com/A1S4D

Hi,

This is based on the short url id in the database so increasing the next auto-int value should also increase the amount of letters used. Other than that there's no way to make it longer. It is a short url script after-all.
