Guys, As Simon mentioned, it wasn't locked down back into 'demo mode'. So someone logged in, deleted all the files and changed the site name & some translations. It was far from hacked, so don't worry. As Simon said above, blame him ;) Thanks, Adam.

Not at the moment, although I've considered adding the option for a while (just limited on dev time!). If you go ahead and purchase I'll schedule in the work to do it. So there'll be an option in the plugin settings to only capture the screen shot.

If you can supply the version of the script you're using that will also help track down the issue. I've just re-tested it on our dev copy and a free user was upgraded to paid fine. I'll take a closer look though if you can send me access via the ticketing system.

Yeah I think the first thing is to reduce the amount being stored in the session, or at least the volume of session data. Memcache would be a great option but I'm not sure how many people would utilise it.
