[Tutorial] Downgrade from YetiShare v4.4 to v4.3

TIP: If you are having issues with files not generating links/saving after an upload then try disabling one or all of your plugins to see if that fixes it. It appears certain plugins conflict with some file types. Try that before downgrading and then decide if you need to downgrade or not...

Direct Remote Server Successful Upload but doesn't generte link for files bigger than 2GB

same issue, but with files under 200MB or so. This is very bad because most of the files my users upload are around this size.

    Hybridauth Problem With Facebook

Same problem, had to manually set new usernames for all of my Facebook users and disable Facebook auth.

    Ability to send users notifications

The file manager can show some system notifications at the top, it would be useful to be able to send out short notifications/messages in much the same way as the newsletters plugin sends emails. This would be good for announcing minor things that aren't big or long enough to deem "newsletter...

send link activation for register user

I agree, this is an important feature. As for temporary emails you can just block the domains for those. You can find lists of temp email domains online (such as on github). Just don't block big ones. For reference here is a decent list of disposable email domains...

    Minor changes to file manager

Yetishare for the most part is well made but there are still some oversights that need to be ironed out in the file manager because users are stupid and can't fend for themselves because users tend to see only when things are "off" rather than the big picture. So here is a list of minor things...

Remote Url Uploads Do Not Start and Newsletter Plugin problems.

I'm using an smtp server hosted in a VM on the same physical machine. The VM has it's own ip address and is exposed to my hosting provider's network as it's own machine. I don't understand how slowness would cause this, everything seems fairly quick.

Remote Url Uploads Do Not Start and Newsletter Plugin problems.

I set the debug level to 2 and ran it again, here is the output.

Remote Url Uploads Do Not Start and Newsletter Plugin problems.

I have tried the test script and emails do work. However it still creates more or less the same page as the one in my previous post. Version 4.3 didn't do this, only 4.4 strangely enough. edit: I posted a screenshot of it with debug set to "2". it's on the next page.

Remote Url Uploads Do Not Start and Newsletter Plugin problems.

Okay so remote uploads are taken care of, nothing more to deal with there. However I found out that rather than just issues with Newsletters I'm actually having this error occur for all emails. For example when a user signs up the actual email will flash on screen for just a moment before...

Remote Url Uploads Do Not Start and Newsletter Plugin problems.

Okay, it appears that reinstalling Yetishare has fixed remote uploads. It visually still looks quirky (?) but it functions. My process for doing this was to backup the database, delete the one on the server, recreate it, reinstall Yetishare, and then I only restored the file, file_action...

Remote Url Uploads Do Not Start and Newsletter Plugin problems.

I'm going to reinstall Yetishare and restore the user and files (etc) tables. Just to try it. But yes I did make sure that the "nginx" user was the owner of the sessions folder and had the required permissions. I even tried setting permissions to 777 for the sake of testing.

Remote Url Uploads Do Not Start and Newsletter Plugin problems.

I'm only using my local machine, no external servers. As for the Nginx rules, those are set as suggested. The only difference is that I have https enabled on my server.

Remote Url Uploads Do Not Start and Newsletter Plugin problems.

Okay, I really don't mind the newsletters errors but I would really like some help with remote uploads. Session.save_path is set correctly in php.ini though I don't see why this is necessary as it defaults to temp directory. The Nginx error log for the server block is empty. I also set the...

Remote Url Uploads Do Not Start and Newsletter Plugin problems.

When starting a remote upload the file always says "pending" and never proceeds. Here is the error I get in the log: =========================================================== 2017-03-11 06:06:41 - *** WARNING *** Array ( [Error Msg] => session_write_close(): Failed to write session data...

    Logo change login screen

edit: misread If I'm not mistaken that's due to caching and if you view the site in an incognito/private window it will be changed.

Error 500 or blank page on step 2 during install (log included)

Thank you for the responses. I have no doubt that Yetishare would function in either NGINX or Aapche! As I said before I was actually already using it on NGINX before moving servers. hmm...my sql credentials do work as expected in the command line so it doesn't appear to be an issue there. I'm...

Error 500 or blank page on step 2 during install (log included)

It was correct and matched my pool.d config. I have made sure that the proper changes were made to the default nginx configuration. I actually was able to get Yetishare to work through a round-a-bout method. I skipped the installer, edited _config.inc.php manually, and imported my database...

Error 500 or blank page on step 2 during install (log included)

I was previously using Yetishare successfully and wanted to migrate to a new server. However I am having issues getting Yetishare to function with what is essentially the same configuration. I have included the log snippet: 2017/01/22 04:41:51 [error] 32423#0: *2 FastCGI sent in stderr: "PHP...

Multiple "Paid" packages not visible on upgrade page?

Greetings, Just bought Yetishare and it's really great. So far nearly everything has been very easy to configure. However I have run into a small issue, when configuring the "Paid" plans only one is visible on the upgrade page and I cannot seem to figure out why. Is this not supported? The...
